WIRE was founded in 2003 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The firm evolved over the years, with the initial mandate of third-party verification in supply chains in the Middle East, Africa, the Levant, Asia, Far East and the CIS. This transitioned to consulting for and training the UAE Government in developing public policy for Labour Inspections based on ILO benchmarks, with a special focus on migrant workers. The consulting and training work led to a Accreditation auditing to evaluate social auditor competency for SA8000, BSCI amfori and, more recently, for schemes that Assurance Services International (ASI) accredits to. WIREs activities have expanded to social auditing training, development of tailor-made social auditing procedures, custom projects and deep dive analysis related to migrant worker recruitment and employment practices.
Sanjiv Singh is the Founder and Managing Director at WIRE. He comes from a background in tea plantation management, training for the SA8000 Basic, Advanced and amfori BSCI courses and Accreditation Auditing for Social Accountability Accreditation Services (SAAS) and Assurance Services International (ASI).

Vivek Gole is the Strategy and Business Development Director at WIRE. He is an experienced consultant who has helped start-ups and small businesses grow. He has worked in a wide range of industries, from manufacturing electronics and aircraft parts to agriculture, sea water desalination and pilot training, in the UK, Europe, USA, the Middle East and India.
